| Voice and Speech Technology |
| Hands-Free Interaction |
More than any other method, speech technologies most closely mimic the way humans interact with each other. Billions of dollars have been invested in perfecting these
technologies over the past two decades, the result being unprecedented levels of accuracy and effectiveness in deployable solutions. Machine speech recognition is only a few
years away from matching human speech recognition accuracy rates, and text-to-speech capabilities are quite impressive now.
Many applications benefit from hands-free operation, from the physician or nurse recording medical record notes to the field engineer gathering information in tough
physical environments to call centers taking orders or providing customer service over the phone. Voice technology is also an enabler to another up-and-coming trend, the
ability for a machine to understand human speech.

| We Can Help |
|
The Intellection Group has developed, as part of our core framework, the ability to integrate both voice recognition and text-to-speech capabilities in a distributed,
server-based architecture. We are able to make small-footprint devices, such as PDA's, fully voice-capable by doing much of the work in real time on backend servers, even
across wireless connections. Because it's part of our core framework, this technology is easily integrated into web-based business applications to assist in those
situations where a keyboard alone is not adequate or feasible.
